On the summer time a super busy/crowded town, Mondays seem to be a great day to have photos taken there, with less people hanging around…

Jumping Wedding Photos idea comes from a Master Photographer: Philippe Halsman

Philippe Halsman (1906-1979) is a huge reference in the photography world, being one of the “Masters”. Imagine how far his heritage has gone, his jumping concept many years later, is widely used in wedding or engagement photographs !!!

On the left, Halsman’s goddess BB picture and on the right, one of our 21st Century jumping engagement photos.

Halsman’s theory about the jumping: “When you ask a person to jump, his attention is mostly directed toward the act of jumping and the mask falls so that the real person appears.” Halsman developed a philosophy of jump photography, which he called jumpology. He published Philippe Halsman’s Jump Book in 1959, which contained a tongue-in-cheek discussion of jumpology and 178 photographs of celebrity jumpers.

Engagement Photos – Nevius Street Bridge

Looking for different locations to shoot Engagement Photos, we remembered about an old bridge in Raritan, the Nevius Street Bridge… Not only you have some “green” in the surroundings, but along with the historic bridge built in the late 1800s, there are a lot of textures for backgrounds…

Using fun props…

We also used the Groom’s to be muscle car… He was thrilled to have some pics taken with his car… 😉
