Grace Kellyiesk Style…

Kate Middleton’s wedding gown is a perfect classy one, reminiscent to me to Grace Kelly’s… I’m naming the style as: Grace Kellyiesk !!! Loved it, no ridiculous long heavy train…  She sticked to who she is… Her good taste is in every little detail: soft make-up, the tiara, veil finishing with a delicate bouquet… What a bride she made… 🙂

Untraditional Bridal Shoes = Sexy Bride

It looks like the days of the traditional bridal shoes are over… In all this years shooting weddings more often we have seen brides being more adventurous in their detail choices, especially shoes…

We have separated in a file some shoes options we’ve photographed over the years: from a nurse bride using her ivory clogs, to bright colored pumps, a wide variety of styles as open toe, peep toe, pointy toe or decorated with beaded flowers of pearls and stones to large crystals to organza flowers…

Happy bride with her bright blue sandals

"I Do"...

Decorated with pearls and crystals...

Mini hearts engraved on the sole...

Also red and white polka dots… “I Do” wedding shoes rhinestone appliqué for great photo opportunities… Another option: bridal shoes with mini hearts engraved on the sole… Loved  them all !!!

La Reggia Wedding Photos

Alison and John recently tied the knot at the St. Mary’s Church inRutherford… The reception was held at the “La Reggia” in Secaucus… First getting married couple along their friends, they were a young fun couple to work with… Alison’s MUA/hair stylist, was Michele Falco, who did a fantastic job enhancing the bride’s natural beauty… The pasta, cheese and carving stations at the cocktail hour were amazing, the 3 course dinner was excellent, followed by a beautiful cake. The groom’s theme: “poker”, were in his cufflinks and favors, a set of poker cards for each guest… 🙂

Princeton Engagement Photos

J & J were a lovely couple to work with… Brides and Grooms to be, aren’t professional models, they could be a little shy in front of the camera… So we suggested J & J using the free e-session we are offering when they decided to book us for their big day…Princeton University is a fantastic location to take e-pics, there are so many spots to play with, and in this occasion, it also had a special meaning to the Groom to be, since he works in town. We guided the couple a little bit on how to acknowledge the presence of the camera when getting pics taken, and asked them if they had any ideas they wanted to do, they gladly surprised us with cute fun shoots !!! Can’t wait for their wedding at The Grain House – Olde Mill Inn in September…

Engagement Photos – Nevius Street Bridge

"Al Ojeda Photography - New Jersey Wedding Photographers - New Jersey Engagement Photos"

Looking for different locations to shoot Engagement Photos, we remembered about an old bridge in Raritan, the Nevius Street Bridge… Not only you have some “green” in the surroundings, but along with the historic bridge built in the late 1800s, there are a lot of textures for backgrounds…

The Heldrich Wedding Photos

We shoot this sweet couple’s engagement pics in Hoboken in fall 2010…  Finally, their big day came… The Bride got ready a The Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick. Anna, from GlamourEyesMe, did her make up, a job professionally done matching the Bride’s natural style….

The ceremony was held at the old impressive Kirk Patrick Chapel, Victorian gothic styled, it’s walls are painted red, a nod to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights’ color… It all makes for a perfect variety of backgrounds…

I-Phone Camera – Mini Essay !!!

We had some things to do in the City yesterday, and didn’t feel like going through heavy traffic, etc., so we took the train in Raritan towards Penn Station… On our way back to New Jersey, we started playing with our i-phones taking pics that became a mini-essay… 😉  Thought we should post them to show how neat results anyone can get out of an i-phone’s camera… With a little help of some applications, they can be corrected and/or enhanced… There are also “frames” for an extra touch…

It’s obvious, that at Al Ojeda Photography, we live through photography since even on a day off, we are still taking pics…
